Console using PC monitor

I have been thinking about buying a PS3 lately. I have a HDTV in my home, but i will soon be off to university. I was wondering if there is any way to play a PS3 on a samsung 940BW widescreen PC monitor and have the same HD effect. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

If your monitor has the HDTV inputs (Composite) then it is likely you can, since im pretty sure the PS3 will be HDTV capable!
