When I am trying to install 2000 Server on a new server and set up a new Domain, the Actve Directory Wizard always fails with the following message:

The network location cannot be reached

Whilst the wizard is trying to set up a DNS

Is it connected to a network via a hub (NOT CAT5 crossover cable) while you're trying to install Active Directory? It needs to be connected to a network or install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter if you're installing on a standalone.
