i went to a different windows forum before i came here and the moderators acted like they were holier than thou. they talked all types of technical and got mad when i asked them to please explain things in laymans terms for me. i thought that forums were for learning and teaching...not to put people that are less knowledgable down. you have given me new hope for help on the net. thank you so much for your time and patience.:thrilled: :happy:

Know what you mean. Eveyone is pretty much friendly here and wanting to help.
We do have our scuffles here once in a while but the board seems improved afterwards.

There might be a mod or 2 that think they are "holier than thou" as you put it......but most people here are not like that

And helpers here do need to remeber to always put things in laymans terms, by that i mean instead of just saying "run chkdsk", write out how to run chkdsk

A couple of times I've seen sig's and posts,etc. on well known computer forums saying things like "if you're a noob don't waste my time". It blows me away every time I see something in that vein.
Haven't been here as long as I've been lurking but that's not that long
Am REALLY impressed by this forum & luv it...a day doesn't pass that I don't check in at least 3 times or more :D
