Networking Files & Printer Issues

Wow, my hands are worn out, because this is about the 5th post for me today (I decided to actually start using CTH like mad.)

Anyways, I seem to be having an issue with networking my printer. It works fine, no problems whatsoever. I am on a Wireless Internet running Windows XP Home (Didn't have this problem with XP Pro). EVERY time I restart my computer, and I want to print something to the computer downstairs, I have to go to my workgroup computers and find the one downstairs, click on it, and type in the user name and password. I don't wanna have to do this all the time!

Now, in windows XP Pro (and I'm not sure if it was really the operating system, or something I had installed at the time) it had a feature to memorize the Password, so I would never have to type it in again. If anybody knows how I can get it to do that with the Home edition; it would be greatly appreciated.

*Note*-On my XP Pro edition, I believe I had download and installed something called dodotnet which was a huge file and I believe it had something to do with networking computers. However, I am unsure, and don't wish to download a file of that size unless that is what is needed.

if you are having to print through another secured computer on a network, there may nothing you can do about it. You may want to pick up a printer server for your printer so all you have to do is to connect it to your router. This way it will do what you want.

I appreciate your help renegade600; however, what you say doesn't make any sense. As I stated, it worked fine with my other computer that had Windows XP Pro on it. I got a new one, and it won't work (the new one has XP Home).
