Domain Joining.... How To....?

i am using linux on workstation i want to join Office Domain and the domain controller is on windows 2000. ho can i join my office domain...? plz let me know?

Forgive my ignorance,I understand you have windows 200 on one computer and you are running a version of linux on another.What version of linux are you using.Am i to understand you are talking about file sharing or have i got the wrong end of the stick.

i am using LINUX (KUbuntu 6.06 LTS) and want to join Domain not Workgroup.

I joined our domain when I was installing the OS(Slackware 11). I am not familiar with kubuntu though.

Hope someone can help you out.

Ok. So I didn't join the domain for authentication purposes apparently. LoL I am just sort of there. Heh.

Maybe take a look at Winbind, but I have no idea about it. Heh. For file sharing use Samba.
