PVP Compatibility

I've got a few videos that are marked as Video Clip file types. Are there any portable video players that support this format or would I be forced to convert the file?

Thanks for helping.

Welcome
What have you tried?
I use Media Player Classic for most video files

Download G-SPOT and check what the codec is

I'm talking about Portable players. Something like Ipod or this right here: http://reviews.cnet.com/COBY_PMP3522...?tag=pdtl-list

I know the codec is xDiv. The computer says the type of file is a Video Clip, just like it might label another file as a Windows Media Video. My question is, will this type of file with the xDiv codec work on a device like the Coby player?

Thanks again.

We need to know the exact file type of the videos. The extension is a big giveaway (.AVI, .MPEG), but the codec it's encoded in is also important. iPod Video supports MPEG-4 encoded videos (.MP4, .M4V, .MOV); some portable players can read DivX, AVI, .MPG/.MPEG (MPEG-1,MPEG-2), but these are mostly portable DVD players, not portable digital media players like the iPod, iRiver, Creative etc. I don't know of any portable players that will read XviD, and xDiv doesn't exist.

I'm sorry, that's what I meant. XviD. I've worked with other video types before like AVI and WMV but I just can't seem to find what this one is. All it says is video clip. Here's a screenshot of it along with WMV:

Where can I find the extension?

Go to Control Panel->Folder Options->View->uncheck "Hide extension for known file types"->OK
