hi there is this the right place???? ohwell my computer i just up graded now has a "cmos checksum error" so it boots like detecting.....blablabla....then it gets stuck at a "cmos checksum error" so it say to go into boot setup and i try but my keyboard dosent work please help:confused: :dizzy:

You're probably using a USB keyboard. Some USB keyboards will not work until the operating system starts up and loads the drivers for it.

Try a regular PS2 keyboard.

If it is a USB keyboard you may be able to change your BIOS so it enables your keyboard before the OS kicks in.

i am useing a ps2 keyboard and it still won't respond...... is it possibale that the keyboard i'm using is not compatable?thanks for the help i really like this sight if only there was a chat room for computer help on here then i would like it more......... i'm aslo wondering if by me upgrading from an msi MB to a gigabyte MB would make a diff.

my computer is working thanks for the help :rotflmao: :D :happy: :thrilled: whaat i did was switch my ram like slot-a to slot-b and b to a oh and don't buy msi motherboards or at least not a k8n ner or thomthin of the sort thx
