hello all..
can i use both XP sp2 with Linux at once? maybe i can always depend on Linux & forget using XP except for anyone except me in our home.. |

Yes you can install and use both Linux and Windows on the same computer. That is whats known as "dual booting". You can dual boot with any number of OS's either windows or linux or all windows and all linux. I will tell you however linux isn't for everyone and before you go trying to dual boot perhaps it would be better to "test drive" linux before you spend the time to setup a dual boot system. There are some sticky topics in this form with info on different distro's of linux that are "live". A live distro means that it runs off of a cd. You never actually install the linux OS at all so the whole thing runs from cd. You can use the full OS and get a chance to see if you like it or not. For a first time linux user this is the way to go.

Well put. That is exactly what I did, if you recall correctly. Hehe. Knoppix STD. Heh. That was so long ago. 2003? Something like that.
