Retrieving pictures from an E-mail

I am trying to run an e-mail attachement that contains pictures. I keeps saying that file aq-mt.dll is missing and I should reinstall. What is this file? How would I reinstall? Should I have them send the pictures in a different format?

Try reinstalling Quicktime (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/), it seems it's your default picture viewer.
