Images and graphics not working correctly...

Friends,

Wow...I really hope that someone out there can help me because I've never come across this problem before. Ok...I've got a 4 month old compaq presario running XP. Recently (within the last couple days) images started loading strange in my IE 6.0 browser. I had upgraded to 7.0, thought that it might be the problem, so I went back to 6.0. What happens is that a webpage such as NFL.com loads but most if the images do not load with it. The show up as little red X's and no graphic. If I reload the page, it will reload differently, but never 100% correctly. When I log onto myspace.com, sometimes the graphics load all over each other which is obviously unreadable. As I said, the webpages load differently each time, but never correctly. I have checked every setting in IE including the advanced settings to ensure that the multimedia settings are correct. The kicker is that this problem happens in every browser, including netscape 8.0 and Firefox.
I was so frustrated with this that I tried to revert windows with hopes that the problem or corrupted file or whatever the problem is would go away. I even went as far as to revert back to the orignial settings that came with my computer the day that I recieved it. I have screenshots that can help you understand what I am talking about, I am not sure how to posted them on here however. If you would like them, I can email them to you. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am not sure of what to do...and the computer is only 4 months old. Thanks so much.

Kerry

Welcome

It may be a problem with your ISPs cache.

Have you tried a different ISP?
Have you tried a different PC connected to your connection?

If you want to try a different OS then you could use the VMWare Browser Appliance.

Check this thread:

I'm having the exact same issue, and somone else is as well. All browsers are affected. It comes and goes, but hasn't completely gone away yet.

I've checked with my ISP and they say there's nothing they are doing that would cause it (it's a company I work for, and I know some of the IT supports guys, and they would tell me if there was an issue...).

So, I'm still stumped.

What's your ISP, maybe we can get to the bottom of it that way...?

I noticed that the Web Accelerator being turned off has improved things (in fact, I uninstalled it...), but it hasn't completely solved the issue. I am still wondering if it's IE7 related. However, I've been using IE7 for some time now, with problems only starting four days ago...
