I am brand new to Macs, by only a day or so now. I am interested in purchasing a tv converter for my new computer, and have a simple question. Do any of the converters on the market work with dish network satellite tv? I read on a few of them on newegg.com that they are compatible with digital and analog tv, but does that include satellite?

I don't see why it shouldn't, once you get past the satellite receiver, the signal should be the same.

Satellite is simply digital tv sent in a air signal as opposed to an underground cable, isn't it?

Thanks for the info. I guess where I get confused is, with my dish network, I have 2 dishes, two remotes, and one receiver box connected to two tv's. To operate the second tv on the satellite, it has to be set to a certain channel 9for example ch80), so if I get the tuner, does that put channels on the cpu for my remote to tune into?
