Trouble with audio files
I'm going a little crazy trying to listen to internet audio files after installing iTunes. On the advice of Apple, I reinstalled twice because they said the problem was that I made the iTunes the default player for all audio.I have completely removed all itunes and associated programs for ipod and QuickTime, and then reinstall and I still get the same response when I try to play wma audio files from the internet. I have Windows Media Player and Real Player available and they both work on music files from music sites such as BMG, but other audio internet files produce the bad window with the red X, with a message of "Invalid Menu Handle" for the location C/Documents & Settings/my name/Local Settings/Temporary Internet Files/ Content.IE5/..... I looked at my C Drive and found that the Local Settings folder was not directly in the "my name" folder but there was a hidden folder there, but the Local Settings was in the Administrator folder. I tried to move it to "my name" but it only wanted to replace the hidden files. Last edited by jim92128; November 16th, 2006 at 06:43 AM. Reason: Left out info about reinstalling! |
