i want to send a photo via e-mail and would like to know how to compress it...i dont have any idea what that even will do to help it get to where i want it to go....
can someone please explain it to me???

I just right click on the photo and choose compress and email and away i go Diane,, but i have winzip

when i right click the photo there is no where that it says compress...it says configure...but not compress...nowhere...:sad:

You need a file compression utility. The mac-daddy is WinZip (http://www.winzip.com/).

Although if the image is already a jpeg, zipping it will achieve very little additional compression.
Grab irfanview (www.irfanview.com)
Open the photo and use Image>Resize/resample to reduce the image size.
Then File>Save As and select jpg and make sure "show options dialog" is ticked so you can adjust the compression slider.

thank you both..i have winzip but it only says configure...i will practice trying the way smurfy said..thank you both for the reply...
