Internet/Browser very slow

Hello,
I was wondering if you could help me out... For some reason my browser is really slow lately (it took me almost 5 minutes to get to a webpage) Anyway, I have wireless and it says signal strength is low but before I had no problem even if the signal was low the internet was very speedy... Is there anything I can do to make it work faster?
Thanks much,

What browser? did you try another browser to see if its slow also? What operating system? Try deleting the temporary internet files and cookies.

you may want to contact your isp and see if they are having problems. You may actually be slow this time.

You could also post a hijackthis log in the cyber safety forum and let the experts there look at it and eliminate the possibilities of nasties. See this for more info

also, see if you can logon to your wireless router and show the routing table. You should be able to see if anybody else is using your connection. You should at least see if you can set a MAC filter if there isn't already a key being used. Chances are some form of spyware. Sorry I refuse to look at hijack logs. good luck. Oh and also if you are using file sharing software such as bit torrent. this will increase your number of http connections and bog down your router.
