Worth upgrading to IE 7 ?

I haven't upgraded to IE7 for fear of the "unknown".
Have there been a lot of problems for those who upgraded?
Does IE7 have any REAL advantages over the latest version of IE6 ?
Thanks,
fw

It is obviously more secure, has more security features and has many internal upgrades over IE6.
I have found no major hinderances by upgrading. You can disable the new options if you wish.

Create an Restore Point so you can uninstall it if you do not like it.

Thanks Degs.
What new options seem to cause problems?
And wouldn't disabling those new options make it more like IE6, sort of defeating the purpose of installing it in the first place?

I woulnd't know because i've not expericenced any. You could always do a search of CTH and google to see if there are any documented problems from other users.

Here's a problem with I.E. 7 posted here at CTH a half hour after your post.
Haven't gotten it myself yet. Waiting for the first fixes to come out. FireFox 2.0 is doing the job just fine for me.

Thanks for your input everyone.
Although it's always tempting to upgrade to "bigger and better", I think I may wait a bit longer, at least till my other problems are fixed.

This worked for me, I didn't have #4, but #3 did the trick here:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the Microsoft speech utility is enabled by the operating system, use the following steps to remove the Alternative User Input Services from the Text Services:

1. Click "Start > Settings > Control Panel."
2. Click "Regional and Language Options > Languages tab > Details button > Advanced tab."
3. Under "System Configuration," check the box that says Turn off advanced text services.
4. Under “Installed services”, click “Speech Recognition”, click “Remove”, and then click “OK”.
5. Click OK in each dialog box to close it.

Note: Turning off advanced text services will disable handwriting recognition.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, I still use Firefox 2.0, but like IE7 a lot better than IE6. It's more like Firefox. No problems with the update here. But yeah, I think it is worth updating.
