Can't view whole web page on some sites

I don't know if this is a browser issue or not. I have ie 6 and windows xp. I am not good with computers so I'll need very basic instructions. On some web sites, particularly some that show videos, I can't get the whole page. I need to maximize the page to even get the vertical scroll bar (on the right side) to appear. If I go to the next page of the site I need to maximize again to get the vertical scroll bar. I can't get the horizontal scroll bar (at the bottom of the screen) to appear at all. There is obviously more on the screen to the right, but I can't get it. Any ideas? Thanks.

Do you have any special Screen Resolution/Zoom features enabled?
Do you have a standard screen res?

Check the display properties from the control panel.

From what I can tell everything is just at a normal setting. I didn't see anything that gave me the opportunity to enable zooms, etc. This only happens on some sites.
