Annoying iTunes

Hi.
My brother recently got an iPod and we installed iTunes to transfer music to it. That worked like a charm, but iTunes keeps popping up each time I get a new media file on my computer (my bearshare download folder). This is annoying:curse: . How can I stop iTunes from doing this?

Open iTunes and go to Edit, Preferences, Advanced, and uncheck 'Use iTunes as the default player for audio files.' That should fix it.

Nope, that's not it. It's already unchecked...
iTunes does not play every new media file I get. It just opens.
