I suggest puting the last sheet/page on top all the time instead of
the current method and clicking on the last number on top of the page in any form.
With the last page always on top you can view the most current
responces.
The current page numbers go from 1, 2, 3 ....
With the last page on top the numbers would go 4, 3, 2, 1.
You can go back for the history.

That's a fair suggestion and is something I've thought about. The reason it is how it is now is because this is the most common view on other forums. Infact all forum software I'm aware of is by default in this format. However it can be changed.
In order to keep the forums as easy as possible to use for all our members familiarity goes a long way. A lot of our members will participate in forums on other sites. Keeping it this way ensures they feel comfortable and understand the way the forum works as soon as they register.
Thankyou for your suggestion :)

No offense at all hatsoff, but that has driven me away from forums in the past. I find it utterly distracting.

Just FYI . . . a good answer to this question, and a reason to keep it the way it is . . .
Since this a Technical Support forum, seeing just the latest answer to a thread would make it easy for the posters who are frequenting that particular thread, but anyone who might have a similar problem, would be a little lost seeing the answer before they see the question, when they Search the site. Displaying last post first gives you typical thankyou posts, then answers, then tells you the steps to determine what could be the problem, and finally would display what the problem really is. That is contrary to all troubleshooting techniques, as that particular answer may not suit everybody, but you wouldn't know that unless you read all the preliminary stuff first.
Now, you may notice that you do see the latest post first when you hit the Reply to post thread. That is so that someone replying to the latest post will have access to it easier than scrolling all the way ot the bottom of the page.
