From the article: "...hoped his daughter would finally be able to get the help she needs for her severe bipolar disorder."

Nothing wrong with kids these days. This one happens to be off her meds, as the article clearly states.

The entire public school system, imo. I am certainly not saying public schools made her do that, but just a general downhill tumble in education standards dating back to the 60's. Stupid kids become stupid parents.

Kids these days are spoiled rotten. Too much money spent on them with not much thanks. When I was a kid if I did anything wrong I got a damn good slap.. and probably deserved it.

If I did anything wrong in school I got the cane.. or the slipper (ouch!)

We didn't do drugs apart from the odd ciggi behind the bikesheds.

We didn't beat anyone up to rob them just for fun.

Although we challenged authority (which all youth does.. or should do) we didn't have the ability to challenge them or sue them. They won.

As far as youth these days are concerned.. I see things tilted in their favour and not the authorities or parents.. are they going to take advantage of this?

What do you think.

IMHO the wheels have fallen off with all this political correctness bollox.

What's wrong with kids today? Well.....

"I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on the frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words...When I was young, we were taught to be discreet and respectful of elders, but the present youth are exceedingly wise [disrespectful] and impatient of restraint." - Hesiod, 8th century BC

"What is happening to our young people? They disrespect their elders, they disobey their parents. They ignore the law. They riot in the streets inflamed with wild notions. Their morals are decaying. What is to become of them?" - Plato, c.427 - c.347 BC

The world is passing through troublous times. The young people of today think of nothing but themselves. They have no reverence for parents or old age. They are impatient of all restraint. They talk as if they know everything, and what passes for wisdom with us is foolishness with them. As for the girls, they are forward, immodest and unladylike in speech, behaviour and dress." - from a sermon preached by Peter the Hermit in 1274 AD
