Do I need all these things?

My pc is a compaq presario 4504 running w-95 osr2. I have installed AVG antivirus and zone alarm firewall. Question#1. Do I need zone alarm along with my anti virus? I am also using a DSL modem.
I also have installed ram idle 3.2 beta. Does this really do any good and could it be causing my games to lock up?

You can dump Ram Idle, but the rest (AV & ZoneAlarm) I'd keep. Check out www.dslreports.com (http://www.dslreports.com) for a few tips and tweaks.

Also, wouldn't hurt to visit the website of your vid. card mfg. and check for updated device drivers.

Firewall and anti-Virus do two completely different jobs. Definitely keep them both.

I dumped ram idle. Unfortunately I am maxed out at 48 megs of ram, so I really don't know what to do next. Can't afford a new pc. Is there a ram doubler or something for a pc?
