Disk created in XP wont work

Okay...yesterday at work, I took a new floppy disk, and copied some stuff onto it. The OS we're using is XP.

However, when I get home and put the disk in on my 2000 machine, it says that the disk is not formatted, and should I format it now?

I've got data on there I realllly need this weekend...any advice?

The Operating system you used to copy the files should not make any differance, if you can acess your files i would not worry about format copy them to a folder and go on if you cant acess them my guess would be bad floppy or not written to propely some one may have you a better answer >cody
