doing a little reading and i see that people are disabling "windows scripting host"
i went to sophos and went through the steps to see if its installed on my computer and it is.the question i have is what does it control?should i delete it as sophos instucts?if i need it back can i download it from somewhere?
sorry if this is a newbie question but im still (and probably be till i croak)a newbie kinda guy.

Hi sunspun - as WSH is a core windows component, removing it seems a little harsh when there are viable alternatives. Also there is no way of knowing what effect this might have on your OS (sometimes there are unexpected consequences as we all know). Why not install Script Sentry instead. As long as you make sure that your AV is kept updated, the two running together should protect you from malicious scripts.
