We have a small office complex where we offer the 16 tenets Internet included in there rent. We need a inexpensive router that will block Netbios from each office. If they want to create a small network in their office they can add their own router. Tried doing searches for port blocking routers but I get way to many hits. Any thoughts would be great

16 connections isn't all that big. You could get away with just buying a home use router and setting it up to not allow traffic over the ports you deem unsafe. You would more than likely have to setup some sort of access restriction list but since you only have 16 users that wouldn't be so bad. Then you could just connect a 18 port switch to the router run cat5 all over the building and allow folks to connect switches to use more than one computer at a time. You could go the more expensive router and get an enterprise class router and purchase a separate firewall device. That would allow you to just block all the ports and protocols you wanted from within the firewall before they hit the router.

The cheapest solution you're going to be able to find is a large managed switch using VLANs.

An enterprise router will cost thousands... a home router won't be able to stop traffic in the switch ports and even reprogrammed with a different firmware wouldn't be able to create enough VLANs since most of the home routers only have 4 ports.
