Problems after replacing power supply

CD rom (Drive "D") is not showing up in My Computer, SCSI card is not working (has exclamation point in Device Manager- says it is not installed) and the sound card does not seem to be working. I removed the SCSI and sound cards, rebooted, shut off then replaced them and started up, still the same.

The fan on the power supply had stopped working so I replaced the whole thing, didn't know if just the fan could be replaced. Yes, everything was working before.

The fan in a power supply can be replaced, but it's tricky. You must remove the power supply-allow it to sit for about 3 day to discharge the capacitors(for your safety)then open it and splice in a fan. The cause of your problems most likely are not directly related to your changing your power supply. Sounds to me like your motherboard battery is weak or dead. The MB battery is a coin battery that's easily changed. Just pop it out and replace with a new one. After replacement boot into your BIOS(check your PC mfg or MB mfg for instructions on how to access your BIOS)and select to restore your default setting. While in the BIOS check your CD-ROM drive and have your BIOS detect it-set to auto detect. Save and exit your BIOS. You might need to reinstall a driver for your SCSI card. Just right click your card>choose properties>look for the driver tab and follow the prompts to update or re-install your driver.

Hope this helps.
