Beeping on startup, won't load windows

'Hello all: Got a home brew, Biostar M7Ncd-Pro boiard, Seagate HD, with a
second HD. CD ROM and Floppy, and Running Win 98SE. Had been working
just fine and decided to change CD to a CDR. Tried to set up Seagate HD as
Master and CD as slave, and second HD as Secondary Master, but Bios would not see this drive. So I changed back to original CD and now system will
not start and it only gives long slow beeps, but will not start,
even with the StartUp disk., I have the Master/slave configurations OK,
but only get these beeps. Please help me on this.

Thanks in advance....
bocabill..

Ive had long beeps that just keep repeating on my maxtech, But it would not show anything up on the screen so I would say that you just have a memory problem, as thats what i had

Gentlemen: Thanks for your suggestions on my beeping problems. In the past I have had a similar
problem related to improperly seated boards, but
I recalled that there is a CMOS Reset jumper on my board which by moving it from one pair of pins
to another, and then back again, clears the CMOS, and now the system is back to normal...One short beep, and no more, and perfect Windows start.
Thanks again for your help......And A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL....HO, HO, HO, HIC...

When your pc is having trouble when starting up,the beeps give you an idea what the problem is

One beep No problem
No beep Power Supply, Processor or Motherboard
Constant beep Power Supply
1,2,3 short beeps Memory failures
4 short beeps Timer failure
5 short beeps CPU failure
6 short beeps Keyboard failure
8 short beeps Video Card failure
9 short beeps ROM Chip failure

Hope this maybe of some HELP?
