I have just purchased Netgear powerline plugs to set up a network.
I have one plug connected to my dsl modem, one connected to my Pc.
I have a homeplug powerline plug connected to my laptop. I have a good connection to internet with PC but I am having problems connecting to interent with laptop. It shows I have excellent link quality and the Lan connection shows a speed of 10mbps and that it is connected.
Everytime I try to open Internet explorer it says cant connect. I am not sure how you are meant to connect to internet using this type of network. I must be missing something or doing something wrong. I have no tried to do anything like this before so I am just playing it by ear so to speak. Any Ideas????????? please help if ou can Thanks

Can you run ipconfig/all on the laptop and post the info back here? (this needs to run in a command window) That way we can see if you have a good IP. Does the PC have a static or dynamic IP address?

Are you using the PPOE connection on the laptop at all (LAN #4), if not I'd delete it.
Also, can you ping 192.168.0.1 from the laptop?
