Someone stealing my wireless?

When I originally set-up my wireless internet, I am pretty sure I secured it by making it password-protected. However, when I look at my network connections I see a connection named "Local Area Connection 3" that I don't remember from before (I haven't used my desktop at home in a while since I am at school most of the time). This connection also has an IP address that I do not recognize from before. Could this be somebody stealing my wireless?

Hi SaraHd711. What u are seeing maybe another adaptor in your network connections.It might be from a program u have installed like Aol,Etc.This is what usually shows when u have 2 diffrent internet adapters working on the same network.Yes it will have a diffrent Ip than your Dsl / Cable.As it will be using a diffrent range of Ip addresses.make shure u have all your wireless security turned on all the time.All Wireless Routers come with a SPI firewall and Wep & Wpa Encryption.For a example look at this site www.linksys.com. As it has a tutorial on wireless security that is easy to understand.Hope Also if u have not changed your default password i suggest u do so ASAP.Hope this has helped u have a great day today.
