Network Ping

I have just bought DELL desktop computer of model DIMENSION 300. I tried to configure it on network. Networking is okey. I could view the resources from this machine but I couldn't enter into it from other machine.

i tried to ping but no respond......I removed firewall, i did everything but i couldn't ping this computer from other computer but Networking is okey from this PC.

Networking is on Domain

PLZ help!!!

I have the same problem. are u using wired or wireless. plus are u connecting both 2 a switch or straight into router

It's wired network n connection via switch

are you using dhcp or static addresses??

it has satatic IP address and networking in on domain.

The another problem which I have is
-some computer is not displaying in My Network Place even they are on network working.
-some computers are on networking and working properly but that computer can't be accessed thorough network even there is not any firewall/block.
