Oh degs, for a seemingly bright bloke and a mod you aren't half naïve!

Everybody knows the internet was invented and made by Al Gore, during his spare time in 1990 and 1991, I am led to believe. (I know it's a misquote, and Kahn and Cerf give him credit for helping propagate it's wider impact - but it's unfortunately, a widely held belief that he claimed full credit).

Great article degs, I'll bookmark this as it's a concise history for those that ask.

it has no interest in what the conversations say, but only ensures that they can take place quickly and without errors.
Some of the radical liberals over here would blast that from every angle.

Every new technology device is expected to have some form of internet connectivity built in, and even old devices such as fridges are being retrofitted for the new connected world.
Why go down stairs and look into your fridge? When you can just open a window to view from your PC.

Yeesh, this is wild stuff.
