Can't connect to any wireless connections

ok, I have a laptop that can't connect to any wireless connections. Just 3 days ago I was able to use the internet and surf regularly. Now my computer will not pick up any signals or whatever you call it from any wireless connections. I have a Atheros AR5005G Wireless Network Adapter. I tried to roll back the driver, update, and uninstall the driver and still no luck. When I try to set up a new conection it says that the device is disconnected. It will work using an ethernet adapter, but no wireless. Can someone please help. I would much appreciate this. :cry2:

what error message do you get when you try to connect. what laptop do you have - do you have a wireless button on your laptop? Its usually located near or on the wireless light.

I have an everex computer that a got from wallmart ( you get what you pay for). When I bring up the view all wireless networks in range it cant find any. I do not have a wireless button i have clicked the refresh button several times and nothing. I have also restarted the computer two times. Im here at a friends house who several days ago i was able to get excellent severice.
