I use a Linksys WRT54GS Wireless-G Broadband Router to allow me to go online wirelessly with my laptop. However, I've found that I cannot use the video chat feature on AOL Instant Messenger if I'm connected through the router (whether via a wireless connection on my laptop or wired through the router to my PC). If I connect directly to my modem, however, I don't have any problems with video chat on AIM.
Any ideas on why this is?
The sticker says: 2.4 GHz, 802.11g, with SpeedBooster. I don't know what that means, but there you have it.
I'm considering buying a new one (because this one is getting somewhat finicky), but I'd like to get one that this won't be an issue with, if possible. Any suggestions?
