i have just started having trouble booting up my computer..sometimes it will boot up and run fairly ok..but most of the time i have to keep restarting it.... i keep getting oe error messages and a windows protection error... i tried to reinstall windows by just writing over itself but that doesn't seem to work... even tried to upgrade to xp but it won't let me do that either. says i have a fatal error and won't continue. it won't run scan disk or defrag either... tried to do a system scan by running norton anti-virus but it tells me i have another fatal error and won't continue. How do i go about wiping my hard drive and reformatting and then installing windows from a clean start? thanks for any help......
