Most all home use routers these days come with options such as WEP or WPA for enecryting data. They all seem to come with Wireless MAC address filtering. Most of them will even let you disable the broadcast of your SSID. Those are nice security options to have and outside that just look for the ablility to forward prots "it may come in handy down the road". If you plan to run a service like VOIP or a heavy hitting service that needs bandwidth you might want the router to do QOS as well. With all that said I use linksys and find them to be pretty darn solid as well as having all the tools I need.
