Hi

My Suppliers Talktalk So I Thought It Best To Buy A Talktalk Modem Router After Much Hard Work Ive Got On To The Net On This Pc So I Thought Id Take It Up To My Pc Upstairs So I Bought A Belkin Wireless Adapter For My Desktop Upstairs (advised To Get That One By Carphone Warehouse As They Dont Sell Adapters Seperately)ive Installed The Adapter Its Picked Up The Wireless Network But I Cannot Get Onto The Internet!!!!when It Looks Hopeful The Internet Explorer Pops Up With They Cannot Open That Page.can Anyone Help Me Please???

On the computer that is having trouble go to Start/Run in the run box type cmd and hit enter. Now at the flashing promt type ipconfig /all and paste what it says in here.

i did that and it said:

windows ip config

host name home*******
primary dns suffix
node type broadcast
ip routing enabled no
wins proxy enabled no

ethernet adapter network bridge

media state media disconnected
description mac bridge miniport
physical address 02*********


c;documents and settings-

im not too great on a pc unfortunately what am i suppose to paste it to?and what do i do now

If that is what it said for ipconfig then I don't see your wireless adapter listed there. If you go to device manager does it list your wireless adapter under network adapters? If it doesn't then it didn't install if it does list it there is there a ? or ! beside it?

yes its listed on the device manager,the wireless router connection says that its very good connection.the belkin adapter says that its disconnected when its not and i cant seem to connect it in my pcs eyes! i did a belkin diagnostic test and on the ping test the only thing it past was the loop back help!!!im baffled
