Hello everybody,

I seem to be having quite a number of problems using my new Netgear Router. It took me 3 hours, but I finally have my wireless computer connected to the Internet. However, when I try putting an encryption on it (didn't matter if it were WEP or WAP), I cannot get my computer to connect for anything. This would be my first problem; however, not my most concerned at the moment.

I also seem to be having a problem using ANY Instant Messengering system. I have no problems connecting to the Internet; however, when I try to sign on to an instant messenger, it cannot connect to the server. For example, when I try to use AIM, it says "Server Error"

I used to have a Belkin Router, and had NO problems with it; except the fact that I just bought a Wii, and it has WiFi capabilities; however, the Belkin Router was not compatible with the Wii. Whereas, the NetGear Router is; that is why I am using it.

I have even tried to use Port Forwarding functions, and still, nothing worked right. I have even disabled my SPI Firewall; but there's still another one blocking it! Stupid Firewalls :curse:
