I bought a new monitor and kept getting THIS message, UPDATING HARDWARE INFORMATION DATABASE. After installing and uninstalling several times, tech support told me to use the recovery cd and now I am having all kinds of probs!
My cd rom drives don't show or work.
Tech support says I need a quick restore disk. So I guess now I have to buy that as it doesn't come with my computer!! GRR!!
Anyone else have any knowledge of this?
Why would they sell you a computer with only half of the software you need if you did a reformatt??
