I just got a new computer 63 days ago. With the holidays i just didnt have the time to figured out what i wanted to do with my internet sec. Nortons trial ran out in 60 days. I have been a loyal nortons suporter, untill now. For the past 3 days i get a trojan in the morning that nortons will do nothing about, and for some reason avg cant do anything about it either. but i have been able to go into and delete the file manually and nothing would come back in for the rest of the day. But when i would get up the next day, a new trojan in a different file would be back. Could this be linked to nortons subscriction running out? Has anyone heard of them putting something in to make you think you have a trojan and then they say they wont fix it untill you renew? I find this hard to believe, but its just weird that it started the day my nortons subscription ran out.

Are we talking about your new AVG Internet Security 7.5? If so I'm amazed that a simple trojan got through but doubt Norton had anything to do with it. Make sure you have automatic updates scheduled and real-time protection in place for your AVG. Have you uninstalled everything to do with Norton yet? If not, go Here (http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039) and down the Norton Removal Tool. Be careful though if you want to keep ANY Norton software because the removal tool uninstalls everything Norton. Caveat emptor... the Norton Removal Tool leaves a LOT of registry entries in place that need to be removed with something like jv16 Power Tools Registry Cleaner and Registry finder. CCleaner will not get anywhere near all of them. Uninstalling Norton is like trying to uninstall Microsoft Office. You need some serious janitorial work afterwards.
