kernel32.dll error

When I attempt to open Bitpim the message: "Bitpim has caused an error in kernel32.dll. Bitpim will now close". I have uninstalled and re-installed Bitpim, including a new version. I still get the same message. One other music program does this. Everything else works fine. ??????

Here's some info on kernel32.dll errors;
http://www.geocities.com/~budallen/kernel32.html

This error can be caused by many things, including a failing memory module. But in your case it's most likely caused by the application, Bitpim. You tried installing a newer version with no joy. Try installing an older version, maybe an older version will play nice with Win ME.
Hope this helps.

Bitpim

Hello,

I successfully installed an earlier version of Bitpim (0.6.2) and it was compatible
with windows ME. This version does not convert ringtones from MP3's though. That will be my next project. Thank you for your help.
