Host Remote Desktop PC stops responding

I'm using windows XP remote desktop. If I leave my host PC alone for 45 mins to an hour - it won't respond when I try to access it. I checked the screensaver settings and power settings (never shut off hard drive). If I come in and restart the computer it'll work fine for a while. Anyone have any ideas?
