Will windows xp work on my compaq presario(scroll down for specs)
and if not what do I need?
I can run w2k on it for sure though right?

you can run the xp readiness test at pcpitstop.com however, imo, stick with the os you have. Do not try to upgrade.

you may or may not be able to get your software, devices and such to work with xp if they are also older. Not everything 98 is compatible with xp, IMO, you could end up with more problems.
