Xerces Panic Error Message

CAN ANYONE HELP I KEEP GETTING THIS ERROR MESSAGE WHEN I TRY INSTALLING PEACHTREE ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE.
IT READS C:\PVSW\BIN\PSSAX.DLL
UNABLE TO REGISTER THE DLL/OCX: INTERNAL ERROR
REGDLL FAILED WITH EXIT CODE OxFFFFFFFFF

i cant think of much off hand. are you reinstalling the program or is this your first install?

This Is My First Install, I'm Not Sure What Is Going On

have you had any problems installing other programs, or have you ever had little messages pop up in the lower right telling you some data failed to write or was lost?

Never Had Any Problems Before I Got The Program To Install But When I Try Opening It The Only Thing That Pops Up Is Can't Load A Transcoding Service And Then Xerces Panic Error In The Box.

after doing a little research it appears that this problem appears with multiple programs. it is caused by a certain registry key. so your best solution is to download Registry Repair 2005 from here http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Registry-Tweak/StompSoft-Registry-Repair.shtml

after you get that running, tell it to repair the following.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/MIME/Database/Charset

make a system restore point first though, and a backup if you wish to be extra cautious (most registry repair programs have an option for backup)
post back with your results.
