Smile Red X vs Email Graphics

Appreciate some assistance.

Lately, every time I send or forward an e-mail that contains any kind of graphic, what appears in the Sent box is a message with no graphics, but instead the outline of some shape of a box with a small white area containing a red X in it. No graphics appear. The recipient gets the same thing.

Running W98Se, IE and OE 6.0. Have not installed any new programs.

Any ideas of what to do to correct this so that messages retain their graphics?

Hi FZWG - some possible reasons and fixes. I would be interested to know if any of the suggestions help and if so, which one.

*Darn - I just cannot get that link to work. Paste the following in Google and it should be the first hit.

outlook express images in email red x

The site is www.infopackets.com

Please do not send me Emails or Private Messages for personal support. Last time I checked, there were still only 24 hours in a day. Thank you.

It worked!!!

Load Outlook Express 6.
Click Tools -> Options.
Next, click the Send Tab.
Under the Mail Sending Format header, and ensure that HTML Button is highlighted as your mail sending format.
Next, click on the HTML Settings Button, and ensure that SEND PICTURE WITH MAIL has a checkmark.

Back in business!!!

Thank you.
