Hello,
I am having trouble getting my computer to recognize my cellphone which has bluetooth... i want to transfer music/pictures from the computer to the cellphone. My computer (XP Home) won't recognize it (I did turn on the Bluetooth in my cell). What do i need to do? Thanks for the help in advance.

Try reinstalling your Bluetooth stack (drivers).

First you need to locate the driver download. This will depend on what device you have. If the Bluetooth device is integrated into your laptop, get drivers from the laptop manufacturer's website. If it's a Bluetooth dongle, get it from the device manufacturer's site.

Yes, the device is integrated into my laptop, and I looked for drivers on the Acer (its manufacturer) website... didn't find anything to help me ... is there another way to do it? if not, thank you for your time.

Actually, I found the Bluetooth driver among the CD's that came with my laptop. However, after installing it, I clicked on the icon and it said "Bluetooth Device Not Found"

Find your laptop's model here (http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads.html). Assuming you model has a Bluetooth port, you should find a driver for it on the download page.

EDIT: Do note that there have been several instances where the laptop has a Bluetooth button, and the Acer site has Bluetooth driver downloads, yet the laptop does not in fact have an integrate Bluetooth device. This may be due to different configurations of the same model available (in different regions). If this is the case, and your laptop was advertised as having Bluetooth, you may want a refund.

Is there a way to find out for sure that it's not integrated?
