Video splitter/joiners/Rar

Hi, I'm looking to try to find a video splitter/joiner for the mac. Whether it's a combined program like the Windows Media Maker or two seperate programs like what I use on my PC at the moment (I use products from Allok).

Second, I am looking for a rar program for the Mac. Something as close as winrar for the pc. Right now I am using UnrarX for my Apple, but you can't rar. I found a program for Simplyrar that looks to be exactly what I wanted, but all of the links were dead. So any programs I can use to rar/unrar and more importantly, split into volumes?

Any help would be appreciated.

I can't really help with the video stuff. But Stuffit Deluxe (http://stuffit.com) will compress to any format on the Mac, including rar.
