Just bought a headset style microphone for my sons computer. IT doesnt seem to work. His brothers does not work on this computer either. When run test through control panel, audio error message comes up saying something about Direct Play Voice error # 0x80004005 and that Dpvsetup.exe couldnt execute and to go to add/remove hardware to install it. It's not in the list when i open add/remove.
I have no clue where to go on this. He runs windows xp pro, with a realtek sound card. SUGGESTIONS PLEASE??? I can't figure anything else to check.. Thanks, and hope this is posted in the right section.
