Deleting photos in paint and clearing under file?

How do I delete all the photos listed in paint, they keep coming back.
Also when I click file in paint there is a list of present and past photos named how do I clear that. I have xp.

what paint are you talking about, paintshop pro, microsoft paint or some other one? Are they listed in you windows explorer or just as a list in the files dropdown.
