Help?

Hi all,

I am new here, so I need ya'lls help. My Uncle-In-Law (I know, it's not realistic) just bought a new computer. Well, he has one of those Cingular Wireless Internets, which had been working fine, until today. It connects to the Internet, perfectly, it connects to FTP, but when you want to go to an HTTP site, it times out, or won't work at all. Any ideas?
We've tried turning off the Firewall, etc, but still nothing

Does this mean his connection is wireless from a tower in town some place or does he use a router or the like? The next time you can't get a webpage to load try two things. First see if you can ping any web address for example...

Go to start/run in the run box type cmd and hit enter. At the flashing promt type ping google.com and then hit enter. Does it time out or give some actual ping times? If it times out try to ping 72.14.207.99 and see it that times out or you get ping times. Then post the info in here.

Also when the web isn't working go to start/run again in the run box type cmd and hit enter. At the flashing promt type ipconfig /all and post what it says in this thread.
