Hello,
I have W95 0SR2, 48 megs ram, 6 gigs hard drive. My video card is S3 Trio 64V2. Chip type is Trio 64V2/DX(86C775). Current File is S3-2drv."vdd,"vflatd,s3vdd.s3-32dll. File version is 4.03.00.2105-230.30. I didn't know if you needed this much info or not. I tried to update to S3 Trio 64V2+ and when I tried to set it up my screen became scrambled with colors. My max resolution is 800x600 pixels. I got this update from compaq. I am using a compaq presario 4504. Any ideas on what to do about this? If not, what kind of new card can I install for this old system?
Thanks, John

Hiya John.
Firstly, as far as I can tell 64v2 and 64v2+ are different chipsets, not a driver upgrade so you can't install 64v2+ drivers on a 64v2 system.

My on-board video is a Trio 64v+. I have disabled this and run a Diamond Stealth 2000 2MB PCI card with a PCI Voodoo2 3d accelerator.

You should be easily able to run a similar or better setup depending on free PCI slots. I doubt your system will have AGP slot and W95 doesn't cope with AGP very well (even with USB supplement) anyway.
Unfortunately most "all in one" cards are AGP.
So I would suggest you firstly invest in a 3d accellerator card which will run alongside your on-board 64v2 quite nicely (after you change drivers back to correct ones).
Then you can upgrade the main video.

Hi there,
That's what I thought the case might be about the video. Thanks for your help.
