I just tried this: sounds weird though

I have a fully regidtered and activated copy of Office XP Standard on my PC and I have no problems whatsoever concerning product updates.

Because I needed FrontPage, I borrowed my friend's Pro CD to install it. No problem. But when i try to activate it with MY own ca key, it refuses and i did it with his key, but to no avail... it still won't activate it.

So, one day, I got rid of Frontpage when its limited time period was exhausted. I also got rid of the Pro office XP from my add\remove.

What happened is that I can no longer download product service packs from Microsoft! I insert my original disks... it refuses.
Can anyone tell me what could have gone wrong?

Thanks:)

i think you have done enough to your hard drive that they have deactivated you, you will have to call microsoft and give them your valid cd key they will give you another no. to use takes about 30 seconds
