Does anyone know how, or even if you can, dial the '+' on a home telephone? There's only a '*' or a '#' on my handsets. It's a free phone number which begins +800; I tried 0800 and 00800 but that doesn't work. I can do it from my mobile (cell) phone but that probably won't be free.....

Thanks :)

The + indicates the international dialling code.

Yes, thanks degsy, I guessed that, but the no. is described as UK Toll Free so I wondered how do I dial it if I havent got the + on my 'phones.

If you are in the UK on a landline then use 0800. If not then use 0044800.
